Do paper is used to make famous Dong Ho folk paintings. Aside from its traditional value, Do paper gained its popularity due to its durability, toughness, and ornate pattern.
Do paper production is still practiced in certain Vietnamese villages, where ancient techniques have been passed down throughout the generations. The industrialization of paper-making, however, has posed a great threat to this traditional art form. In order to preserve this practice, Do is now used in modern products such as postcards, notebooks, and other decorative trinkets.
In this experience, you’ll have the chance to discover this ancient paper craft.
