Escape the hustle and bustle of Manhattan with a relaxing hatha yoga workshop. Hatha yoga - the basis of all yoga systems - attempts to balance mind and body via physical postures or “asanas,” purification practices, controlled breathing, relaxation, and meditation. With the help of your instructor, calm your mind, strengthen your body, and achieve a meaningful experience. Rejuvenate with wellness activities like mindful meditation and body drumming. Listen to meditative music and relax in a peaceful atmosphere. Revenue from this experience will be invested in outreach programs that instill the benefits of mindfulness, yoga practice, and holistic healing in the diverse communities of NYC, helping young students manage stress and maintain health consciousness.
I had a great morning yoga class with Urban Yoga Foundation! The instructor, Boo, was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The atmosphere of the class was supportive, peaceful, and relaxing. A yoga novice myself, the class was fun and made me want to continue and improve my skills! Knowing the money is going to a great cause was the cherry on top :)
