Knock Knock, Give a Sock is a nonprofit organization that collects the most needed, but least donated article of clothing for those experiencing homelessness: socks.
Revenue is invested in bringing communities together to fight the stigma against homelessness.

Bring a pair of socks to donate at the end of your visit! Your tour will start with a presentation about Knock Knock Give a Sock and a brief walking tour of New York City’s vibrant East Village. The tour will end at the Bowery Mission, where many of those experiencing homelessness receive socks from KKGAS. Here you can donate that pair of socks you brought!

By subway: take the 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, or R train to 14th St.—Union Square Station. Walk towards the steps at 14th St. and Park Avenue.
By bus: Seven bus lines serve the neighborhood, the M1, M2, M3, M7, M9 and M14.
