Tour Description

Discover Lomé, the vibrant capital of Togo that shines as bright during the day as at night! Lomé boasts museums, markets, nightclubs, and boutiques in addition to the beach and the great Port of Lomé. During your tour, visit the Woold Home, also known as the Maison des Esclaves (House of Slaves) - a UNESCO world heritage site and home of a 19th-century English slave trader once used as a prison to hold slaves captive. See Lomé’s notorious wells before breathing in the fresh air of Lake Togo and enjoying a swim. Then, cross Lake Togo by pirogue and explore the historic Voodoo village of Togoville. Visit the national museum as well as the renowned and unforgettable Akodessewa Fetish Market, the largest Voodoo market in the world. Located in the heart of the city, this market is where you can go to find objects like leopard heads, elephant feet, and chimpanzee paws that are believed by traditional healers to possess the power to heal and protect. Wind down your evening with the chance to meet Voisins Solidaires community members during a farewell party with music and dancing

Visitors also have the option to take a 3-hour version of this tour, which includes a guided visit to the Woold Home and Akodessewa Fetish Market only.

Tour package includes all transportation.

It was a perfect tour to discover the city of Lomé, as we did the main activities and must-see. The activities in Lomé are very "touristic": museum, market, Togoville. The organization is very well organized with its different projects (health, social, environment), building a strong link between people in different parts of the city. Through the years and projects, they managed to create an international network of volunteering (with French, German, Togolese...). The guides were awesome, very friendly, nice, and funny, it was a real pleasure to share this day with them.
