Xoco Lattes Los Carrerantes is a community-based cooperative supporting small scale producers of artisanal chocolate by generating fair and direct trade of their products and organizing local cooperatives.
Tour revenue will be invested in improving cooperative training and supporting local cocoa farmers.

Learn about the production of chocolate from actual cacao farmers! Discover the life and culture of Chiapas, Mexico during this chocolate education and tasting session. During your visit, local farmers will take you through the process of chocolate production, highlighting their organic, sustainable farming techniques. A local community member will describe the ancient history of cocoa in Chiapas. Cocoa is a fundamental aspect of the local culture and traditions, it’s much more than just a commodity. So, get excited to feel like a real Chiapas local as you become acquainted with a piece of Mexican chocolate history.
