Enjoy a 2-day, 1-night tour in a Mayan paradise! Your visit to the town of Chunhuhub will be culturally immersive and insightful. On the first day, visitors will arrive in the afternoon and settle into their cabins. The lodging is located in a natural environment and you will hear the sounds of the jungle. Next, visitors will enjoy a traditional Mexican dinner made using local products.
The second day will start with breakfast at 8 AM. Enjoy a fresh start to the day and get ready to head out for exploration! At 9 AM, your guides will take you on a community tour that will include a visit to a local artisan’s home. The artisan crafts vines into handmade functional and decorative products. As you enjoy his work, he will tell you stories of life in the jungle and his family’s struggles. After this visit, guests will hike to a natural sinkhole known as a cenote. In Mexico, cenotes were often used by the ancient Maya for various purposes. You will visit the beautiful Dzula cenote, a place that was once a cemetery. After the hike, enjoy a trip to the community of Chunhuhub, where you will discover Mayan medicine. Learn about the importance and purpose of ancient medicine. Meet the indigenous doctors of the community and eat a meal prepared by the Maya people. This tour will be an unforgettable experience!

The Ecological Center is located 10 kilometers south of the indigenous community of Chunhuhub towards the city of Chetumal, the capital of Quintana Roo state. It is recommended that visitors take a car or bus.
