ARCHELON raises awareness for turtles in need, and sends them back into the wild when they are healthy enough to survive on their own.
Tour revenue is invested in the care, rehabilitation, and food for the injured turtles, allowing them to eventually return to the sea when healthy.

Get to know the Sea Turtles of Greece on this unique and meaningful tour! ARCHELON takes the phrase “slow and steady” very seriously when returning sea turtles to health. Come out and observe the process of rehabilitation for beautiful sea turtles on a personal level! You will be taken on an exclusive tour of the ARCHELON Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center, where you will see the everyday effects of the organization's work. Next, you will be introduced to our international team of volunteers who give much of their time to the turtles. Discuss the importance of their work with them, and learn more about the ways in which they provide care. Save the best part of the tour for last, and meet the “patients” of ARCHELON's center. Assist team members in nursing the turtles, knowing that the injured animals you've helped will someday return to the great blue sea!
I really enjoyed the activity.
We had such an incredible time at Archelon. It was a once in a lifetime adventure and we had an amazing time.
It was amazing! I had a great time.
We were lucky to have been on the day of releasing one of the saved turtles back into the Sea. The speeches were too long especially in the sun heat with the children started losing interest, yet it was nice to be there and see how enthusiastic the young volunteers were.
I have personally volunteered in this rescue center and have followed its progress through the years through by keeping with the Archelon's amazing staff. The team does their very best to keep the center going and growing stronger, with so much enthusiasm and passion for turtles and nature conservation overall. In addition, the whole rescue center is set on the beach and in old train wagons! An amazing site to visit and a great place to see nature protection and conservation in action!
