This nonprofit works to help women transition out of correctional systems and prepares them for integration into society through workforce development training, as well as guidance on improving their health and wellness. Through this program, the nonprofit has helped reduce the 3-year recidivism state in Arizona from 38% to 10%.
Through an informative webinar, your team will gain a deeper understanding about the criminal justice system, as well as the current state of re-entry in Arizona and the United States as a whole.
After a brief introduction to the organization, your team will be asked to assess their current views on the criminal justice system, particularly as it relates to re-entry and what it takes to successfully rejoin society.
Together, you will then interact with two of the nonprofit’s experienced storytellers who have been directly impacted by the American criminal justice system and listen to their stories focused on their re-entry. After the storytelling session, participants can ask questions. As the activity ends, you and your team will have the opportunity to reassess your initial views.
