What you’ll do
Your team will have the opportunity to help an innovative textile recycling non-profit give new life to fabrics discarded by high profile designers from NYC’s garment district. Tour the organization’s facility to understand textile waste, garment supply chains, and the difference between post and pre-consumer material. On top of that, learn how the organization addresses these problems by providing these unwanted fabrics to local artists or recycling them rather than tossing them in landfills. Not only will your office get a chance to sort the collected textiles for recycling while engaging in important dialogue about sustainability -- but you will also learn about fabric recycling and how this small non-profit is pioneering sustainable reuse practices within the New York fashion industry.
Please book at least 2 weeks in advance.
