What you’ll do

Refugee Voices virtual sessions are led by refugee guest speakers (Conversation Partners) and aim to change the narrative of fear around migrant communities. Each session includes engaging conversations about a displaced individual’s personal story, discussions about the conflict that forced him/her to leave home, and the challenges of rebuilding one’s life in a new community. Up to 75% of the session price goes directly to the Conversation Partner. Customize your session to include some or all of the following topics: - Personal narratives of displacement - A deeper dive into human rights and politics - Gender lens on displacement - Phrasebook language learning (Arabic, Spanish, or Persian)

Revenue is invested in providing income and education programs for displaced persons and communities in need. Each session contributes directly to refugee livelihoods.
This award-winning social enterprise hires refugees as online tutors, teachers, language partners, and translators, providing them with income and a voice when they are, at times, cut off from local economies and often society. Since 2015, rather than being passive recipients to aid, refugees and displaced people have earned over $550,000 through their work with this organization.
