Join a great social enterprise on a 5-day immersive tour of the diverse region of Choco, Colombia. Posada Jurubira is located in the municipality of Nuqui and is known for its ecotourism and community-based tourism.
On the first day, visitors will arrive at Posada Jurubira in the morning and settle into their rooms. Lunch will be provided followed by a neighborhood tour in which you will visit multiple communities and explore the range of diversity. Visitors will also briefly tour the local beach.
The second day will consist of a visit to the indigenous communities followed by a mangrove tour. The day will begin with breakfast before you embark on a journey to visit the indigenous people in three small communities. These communities have a very diverse population of wildlife including iguanas, unique birds, and fish. Visitors will spend the full day exploring and discovering the various cultures within this region of Colombia.
The third day will include an exciting whale watching experience! Whale watching is a unique opportunity to experience ocean wildlife firsthand. On this journey, you will also witness turtles, fish, and dolphins. The tour will end at 4 in the afternoon.
On the fourth day of the trip, you will visit the thermal springs of Jurubira. The site is located about 30 minutes away from town and features waterfalls and ravines where visitors will have the opportunity to swim and enjoy the water. At night, you and other guests will gather around a fireplace while the locals share myths and legends of the region.
On the fifth and final day, visitors will be given a pass to Utria cove, a natural park located within the sea. It is a unique natural reserve consisting of millions of species of both plants and animals. Visitors will return by 3 in the afternoon.
If a visitor is unable or does not want to participate in a certain activity, that activity will be deducted from the price at the time of payment.
It is a highly recommended inn, it has a nice, clean and cozy feel. The attention there is very good. The community of Jurubirá is pleasant because it has mangroves, rivers, and the Pacific Ocean to explore its surroundings.

To get to Jurubirá you should take a flight to the town of Nuqui. From there, you will be able to journey by boat to Jurubirá.
