Just an hour drive from the sun soaked beaches of Santa Marta one can find himself in the cooler mountainous area of Minca where Mision Gaia call its home. This local nonprofit offers a fantastic eco tour showcasing the luscious greenery of the area, opportunity for exotic bird watching, dip in one of the water pools, and a meeting with one of the local organic coffee producers. Diana, the ED of Mision Gaia, provides a first-hand account of the environmental issues facing this community and how Mision Gaia helps to educate the local population on recycling and having the least impact on local flora and fauna.

How To Get There

We offer transportation from Santa Marta or you may meet us at the collective in Minca
