Join us! Visit.org is looking for a passionate, ambitious Business Development Intern to join our team remotely this fall. If you’re a self-motivated individual interested in the intersection of sales, social impact, and entrepreneurship, we want to work with you! We’re a startup, so the right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for our mission, and the desire to roll up your sleeves and make the impossible happen.

Role and responsibilities:
- Help find and qualify new sales leads through online prospecting
- Reach out to potential leads via email and over the phone
- Track activity and leads in CRM system
- Create detailed meeting reports
- Assist with targeted marketing campaigns and content creation
- Participate in sales training sessions and team meetings

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, marketing, or a related field
- Desire to learn how to build a sales process from the ground up and bring a new product to market
- Desire to gain experience in a fast-paced startup environment, wearing different hats as needed
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
- Self-starter who can take direction and contribute ideas.
- Passionate about social good and empowering local communities

What do we offer?

If you’re a self-motivated individual interested in social impact and entrepreneurship, we want to work with you! We’re a startup, so the right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for our mission, and the desire to roll up your sleeves and make the impossible happen.

Role and responsibilities:
- Research and help recruit nonprofits and social ventures tackling a range of social, environmental, and economic issues across the US
- Build relationships and assist organizations in developing Visit.org volunteer & social impact experiences as needed
- Help with projects related to impact measurement and tracking
- Track activity and leads in CRM system

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Has experience working in the nonprofit sector and understands the unique needs of nonprofits
- Passionate about social good, empowering local communities, and issues related to diversity, equity, and social justice
- Demonstrates an awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and orientations
- Is comfortable on the phone and ready to talk to new organizations every day
- Excited to work in a fast-paced, demanding startup environment
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member

If you’re a self-motivated individual interested in the intersection of writing and social entrepreneurship, we want to work with you! We’re a startup, so the right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, enthusiasm for our mission, and the desire to roll up your sleeves and make the impossible happen.

Role and responsibilities:
- Write and edit content for partner nonprofit activity pages
- Write targeted, SEO-optimized articles for the Visit.org blog
- Assist with creating marketing collateral and other content as needed

Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program
- Experience with copywriting, editing, and blogging
- Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills with thorough attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
- Experience with SEO is a plus
- Desire to gain experience in a fast-paced startup environment, wearing different hats as needed
- Self-starter who can take direction and contribute ideas
- Passionate about social good and empowering local communities
