Great guide who took us to temples that had no crowds. Good bikes to ride. Great tour!
The off road bike tour with KKO was an amazing experience. The day started at the KKO office where we were fitted for our bikes and given large water bottles for the day. Throughout the day we biked to 5 ancient temples, many of which we were the only tourists there. Our guide, Lyna was knowledgable about the sites and helpful in getting us acclimated and comfortable with the bikes. The trail is not for beginners, as the forest and other off road areas near the temples are pretty narrow, sandy, and slippery. That said, KKO provides excellent bikes with multiple brakes and gears to brave the path. The tour stops for lunch at a local restaurant near one of the temples, but you are free to bring your own if you like (which I did). When you finish your water (which you inevitably will), KKO will pay for new bottles. Returning back from our final stop, our group got caught in what I believe is the strongest rainstorm I've ever been in, and Lyna was so helpful in getting us back (and finding one of our friends when he got lost in the storm). I recommend this as either a complement or nice alternative to a full day of traditional temple sightseeing at Angkor Wat/ Ankgor Thom. The experience is once in a lifetime and made all the better knowing that it goes to support the work of a great organization like KKO.
Wonderful tour guide and perfectly paced bike trip. The scenery was amazing and we felt like we had a behind the scenes tour.
Couldn't have asked for a better way to explore the temples! Saw places where there were no tourists, which was a huge plus. Tour guide "Luk" was very helpful and accommodating, helped me to take pictures of myself. Knew a lot about the history and explained about carvings in each of the temples. Great experience overall! Wouldn't have found out about it if it wasn't on visit.org.
