Spend four days on Nijhum Dwip, a small island full of treasures in the heart of the Bay of Bengal! Thousands of deer, a rare mangrove island, and breathtaking coastal beauty contribute to the magic of this unique island. In the winter, the island welcomes thousands of migratory birds. Here you will have the chance to live with local fisherman and get to know their lifestyle and culture.
The ship will be leaving at 5 PM from Sadarghat terminal, Dhaka. Visitors need to meet at the terminal by 4 PM. Welcome snacks will be provided at the time of departure. Dinner will be served in the cabin of the ship, where the riverside view is sure to amaze you.
Reached Hatiya island early the next morning in time for breakfast. At 9 AM, depart on a bike ride for 1 hour to travel to another part of the island. Reach Nijhum Island and check in to a local house. After lunch, explore the sea beach and take a small tour to the mangrove forest. Lunch and dinner will be served in the home of a local family with traditional food items. Fish dishes will improve any day!
After breakfast, take a boat ride at Choudhury Khal, a canal. This ride will take you to the heart of the mangrove forest where you will able to see herds of deer and experience the vast wildlife of the mangrove forest. A trained local guide will help you through the forest to meet the herd of deer. Spend the night in a local home and enjoy an optional fish BBQ
Embark on another deer trip before the sunrise. After breakfast, you begin the return journey with an hour-long bike ride to Hatiya Island. From there, a coach bus will take you straight to Dhaka. Lunch will be served on the way to Dhaka.
