The trip begins in Dhaka. A luxurious overnight A/C chain coach will be provided to transport you from Dhaka to Bandarban town. The journey begins at 10 PM, and you will reach Bandarban early the next morning. Bandarban is a hill track district of Bangladesh with massive natural resources. The mountains surround the region from every side. From these large mountains, Keokaradong is one of the highest and ranked number 3 as the highest peak of Bangladesh, with an elevation of 986 meters (3,235 ft).
After your arrival in Bandarban, enjoy breakfast around 8 AM. Then, begin your adventure by traveling to Ruma Bazar by minibus or 4x4 Land Cruiser. Get to know this village over a local meal. At 2 PM, journey to Boga Lake by Chander Gari (an open roof large Jeep). After three hours on the road, you will arrive at Boga Lake! This rectangular lake is unique because of its great depth and naturally sweet water. The color of the lake varies at different times of day depending on the sunlight, humidity, and clouds. Geologists believe that it was created by a collection of rainwater in the crater of a dead volcano almost 2,000 years ago. A local legend tells that the lake was created after the inhabitants of a Khumi village killed and ate a deity who later reappeared to them in the form of a dragon. Instantly an earthquake occurred, the hillside caved in, and the village disappeared and formed a deep lake.
To reach your lakeside lodging for the night, you will climb a small mountain which takes about half an hour. Spend the night in a wooden tribal house alongside the lake.
Enjoy breakfast at 8 AM and get fueled for a busy day! Begin at 9 AM by hiking to Keokaradong. This peak may be the highest in all Bangladesh! Reach the top within a few hours, and enjoy a well-deserved lunch with local food. Spend the night in a cottage at the top of the Keokaradong mountain. The surrounding nature will surely make you feel special.
Enjoy breakfast at 8 AM. Then start trekking back to Bogalake! At noon, you will have reached Bogalake, where lunch will be served. Along the way, visit Chingri Waterfall, a beautiful natural landmark. Spend the night again at beautiful Bogalake, which is the highest lake in Bangladesh. Dinner will be served with delicious hilly fruits.
Enjoy breakfast at 8 AM. At 9 AM, head to Ruma Bazar by 4x4 Land Cruiser. At 1 PM, reach Ruma Bazar and stop for lunch. Then, continue on toward Bandarban town by minibus or 4x4 Land Cruiser. Reach Bandarban town by 6 PM, and after dinner, journey back to Dhaka by overnight bus.
