Ambassadors Program

Whether traveling abroad or looking to support your local social sector, you can become a visit.org ambassador! Ambassadors support great nonprofits and community-based projects ("orgs") by connecting them with visit.org. There are three types of ambassadors:

Visual Ambassador

Support great orgs by taking photographs and videos of their facilities, activities, and surrounding landscape or share your existing travel images with us.

Storytelling Ambassadors

Enhance the mission of impactful orgs by sharing their unique stories with the world: write blog posts, review visits, tell the stories of local individuals and communities, or recount your social travel adventure. We want to hear your stories!

Travel Ambassadors

Identify and help on-board / connect new orgs. Whether you are exploring abroad or discovering new communities in your home area, you're a traveler contributing to visit.org's global network!

Ambassadors are featured on visit.org's website and social media outlets. Features include your picture, title, work description, and links to your personal websites / blogs. We encourage ambassadors to utilize our network both to promote causes they care about, and discover new orgs to visit. Please write us at [email protected] to introduce yourself. Let us know who you are, where you are, and how you would like to contribute. Please attach or include links to any information that will help us get to know you better (blog, writing samples, photography portfolio, etc). We would love to hear from you and work together!

Mri is just an ordinary girl from Indiana currently traveling the world. She's been on the road since February 2012 and has met so many amazing and kind people along the way, learned so many incredible lessons about herself and life, and has of course, had some fantastically insane experiences - all of which you can enjoy over at her blog: Lifelong Vagabonds. This is also the closest thing she has to a profession (unless you're one of those flight landing forms and then it's whatever temporary job she held last even if it was years ago). A big regret of hers is still only being able to speak English, but she's working on becoming fluent in Spanish after having lived six months in Alicante. She enjoys all kind of travel outside of the main tourist attractions, preferring to truly experience the heart of a country instead of just seeing its pretty face. So if anyone is looking for expert advice on free hidden gems spotted along the eastern coast of Australia or around the southern side of Alicante, then Mri's your girl.
