During this 11-13 hour day tour, you will visit the town of Gjirokastra (or Gjirokaster), the “Stone City” situated on the eastern slope of mountain “Mali i Gjere”. Gjirokastra is an ancient remnant of the Ottoman empire. It features a beautiful medieval castle district, a lively lower town consisting of grand houses draped on steep hillsides, an a lot of art and culture. It is known also as the birthplace of many famous figures of Albania.
